Archaeological Survey of India, Aizawl Circle Mizoram
Aizawl Circle of Archaeological Survey of India was established in November 2016
bifurcating from the Guwahati Circle. The office was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh
Sharma, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in the presence
Gen. Nirbhay Sharma, Governor of Mizoramon 16th September, 2017. The
the circle is situated at Aizawl, the State capital of Mizoram. Since it
the circle has taken up the work of preservation, protection, restoration and
maintenance of the ancient monument sand archaeological sites of the three
i.e. Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura

Vangchhia is situated in the North eastern part of Mizoram. It is 259kms away

The temple of Vishnu is situated at the heart of Bishnupur, BishnupurDist,
Manipur. Vishnu temple is one of the oldest known brick temples in the state
of Manipur. This temple is standing on a slightly raise platform.
In the east of Radha kishorepur (Udaipur) on the way from Mahadev Barito Badar
Mokam, there lie three brick temples adjacent to each other commonly known as
‘Gunabati Mandir Gucchha’ (Gunabati Group of Temples).
